Buffalo Stampede Half-Marathon & 5k at Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History

There are two certified courses for the Stampede: a 5k and half marathon. The Half-Marathon course is gently rolling, scenic, relatively flat, fast, and takes participants through open country and past neighborhoods and parks. It has a downhill 2-mile finish, offers you a great chance for a PR, and a tune-up for marathons. The 5K follows the first 1.55 miles of the Half-Marathon course. Courses are out and back and offer a safe route well marked by Area Wide Protective. Cheer Stations will be along the route to encourage runners and walkers! The half marathon course starts at 7:30am, the 5k course starts at 7:45am, and both close at 11 am.
Open to all ages with all awards given to first, second, and third places based on age division. Age-groups are: 12 and under; 13-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80-85, 86+. Cheer stations also have a chance to receive an award! To enter your cheer station go to bit.ly/CheerStations24
