Messina Hof’s buffets curate their menu with seasonal produce grown on their estate to ensure the best-tasting ingredients for their guests. The Daytime Harvest will feature the winery’s signature Vineyard Cuisine brunch buffet.
In preparation for the Harvest Festival, Messina Hof curates a tasting lineup that highlights the very flavors guests help to pick and stomp during their tour. Along with sipping on their wines, learn more about the bodies of the bottles and the process of producing the label.
Messina Hof’s friendly and knowledgeable staff will lead guests through an educational exploration of the estate and its grounds. You’ll be able to curate your experience through the two ticketed events. At the Moonlit Harvest tours, guests will learn more about the winemaking process at the resort. If you’d rather learn more about the estate itself, sign up for the Daytime Harvest.
The Harvest Festival will bring guests through the estate’s huge vineyard to pick grapes ripe for the picking. Once the grape baskets are full, attendees will be brought inside for grape stomping. Grape stomping is a tradition in the winemaking process. The festival welcomes guests into the barrel to stomp their freshly picked grapes, commemorating this time-honored tradition and the new harvest season.
As a way to remember your time at the festival, each guest will be asked to submit their t-shirt size so that after grape stomping, they can step onto their pre-ordered shirt and leave their wine-stained mark!
Loved the atmosphere at Messina Hof! We came for the Harvest Festival and it was really the best experience ever!Vanessa C.Yelp
Messina Hof is more than a winery; it’s a resort. Enjoy both the Moonlit Harvest and the Daytime Harvest by booking a stay at the resort’s bed and breakfast. Built with stained glass windows and rustic wood accents, the B&B feels like you’re stepping into a historic Tuscan villa. Wake up to stunning views with one of their balcony rooms and enjoy a fresh breakfast with a mimosa.
Sounding like the perfect weekend? Book your stay on the Messina Hof website.
Yes, Messina Hof’s Daytime Harvest is open to children. The Saturday event has accommodations made to their schedule to make the festival activities more family-friendly. Please note that the Moonlit Harvest is an adult event and does not offer tickets for children.
All indoor activities, including the wine tasting and buffet, provide paved surfaces and accessible spaces; however, both the grape picking and grape stomping are not accessible, taking place at the outdoor vineyard on uneven terrain.
When choosing what to wear for the festival, keep in mind that the event does require you to get a little messy, from the grape stomping to exploring the vineyard. Additionally, because of the outdoor setting for some of the activities, keep in mind the summer heat.
Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and clothes that you don’t mind getting a little dirty. Most importantly, dress for the weather!

Just 10 minutes from the winery is the lively downtown Bryan. The main strip of the historic district features local favorites. Head to Owl Pub & Grill for Tex-Mex eggrolls, ahi & avo tacos, and sweet pretzels. For something a little heartier, LeSalle Hotel’s Station 36’s rib eye and bone-in pork chop are sure to satisfy. If you want something more casual, the Proudest Monkey is a must with its relaxed atmosphere and menu of tacos, burgers, and fries.
Bryan’s downtown area offers more than delicious bites; feel free to explore the many shops and discover why it's considered the unofficial cultural district of Bryan. Catch live music at the Palace Theater, thrift at Brightside Thrift or Bird’s Nest, and head over on any First Friday of the month for their block party.
