Brazos Valley Flight Services invites the community to our Spring Open House at Easterwood Field on Saturday, May 9 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
This friendly, come-and-go event is open to all ages and is a great opportunity for families, kids, teens, college students, and anyone curious about aviation to experience flight training up close.
Guests will have the chance to see our brand-new 2026 Cessna Skyhawk, N979BV, walk around the aircraft, sit in the cockpit, take photos, meet our instructors and staff, and learn how simple it can be to get started in aviation.
Many students and families do not realize that aviation training is available just minutes from Texas A&M University. Brazos Valley Flight Services is here to make aviation feel more accessible, welcoming, and exciting for the Bryan-College Station community.
The event will include kid-friendly games, a Skyhawk coloring contest, a scavenger hunt, free gifts, and prizes. Guests can also enter our Intro Flight raffle for a chance to win a flight experience in our brand-new 2026 Cessna Skyhawk.
In addition to the open house, Brazos Valley Flight Services will also be offering a one-day Tailwheel & Aerobatic Experience during the event. Guests interested in expanding their aviation experience can learn more about tailwheel training, complex/high-performance training, upset prevention and recovery, basic aerobatics, and special event-only flight opportunities.
For anyone ready to take the next step, event-only discounted Introductory Flights will be available in N979BV. These flights are flown with an instructor and are a fun, memorable way to experience flying, learn about flight training, and see Aggieland from a new perspective.
Admission is a canned good donation. Brazos Valley Flight Services is proudly partnering with the American Legion Aggieland Post 1938 to help support local families in need.
Stop by anytime between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM. No aviation experience is needed — just bring your curiosity and come see aviation up close.
