Get your friends together or come solo to learn Block Printing with Open Studio BCS. Catya will guide you step by step to design and carve your own printing block, learn the basics of inking and hand printing, and use your block to create a custom pattern on an organic cotton canvas tote bag.
Feel free to come early to shop all the beautiful things South of Kyle has to offer in our unique shop!
Ticket includes an organic cotton tote, carving block to take home, use of carving tools and fabric printing inks, practice materials, design and pattern inspiration, and guided instruction throughout the two-hour workshop. Catya will also have some pre-carved blocks and examples available for guests to experiment with as we explore how simple motifs can be repeated and arranged to create different patterns.
