First Fridays can feature anything from face painting and antique car shows to live music and outdoor games. Not to mention, the event's long list of vendors and restaurants brings local art and flavor to the forefront of the downtown scene.
If you think you've seen it all, you're missing out on all the event has in store. The outdoor activities vary from month to month and from season to season, so keep up to date with our guide to the monthly events.
In 2005, Downtown Bryan business owners knew a change had to come. Working together, they planned out an evening of fun and community, committing to longer hours and open doors. This small decision would snowball, generating business and building the foundation of a beloved Bryan tradition.
As First Fridays continued, more and more of the Bryan neighborhood would get involved. Performances, art, and organizations would help transform the evening into a colorful display of arts and culture, as well as a promotion for shopping small.
First Friday would not be what it is today without the creativity and efforts of Bryan's local legends, who sought to revitalize, rebuild, and reconnect their community. In 2025, the event celebrated its 20th anniversary, and with the continued support of the Bryan public and nearby College Station, there are many more years to come!
