What is First Friday?
First Fridays are free, family-friendly evenings that feature live performances by local musicians all around Historic Downtown Bryan, business specials, interactive activities, art demonstrations, and so much more! Along Main Street the Brazos Valley Farmers’ Market sets up to sell local goods and produce. Along Bryan Avenue, Art979 Art Loop gives space to local artists to share and sell their artwork and handmade goods with the community.
Originally started by members of the Downtown community looking to bring art, culture, music, and friends together, First Friday has been a Downtown Bryan tradition for more than 17 years

The Brazos Valley Farmers' Market is a year-round market dedicated to supporting our region's farms by connecting consumers directly to local producers. This farmers' market is a staple that strengthens Bryan's urban-rural community bonds and educates visitors and locals alike on the benefits of eating and sourcing local products.
The market features an array of producers selling items like local honey, plants, jams, jellies, salsa, fresh produce, baked goods, handcrafted wares, and more. The offerings vary with the seasons, so you'll always find something new each visit!

Where is First Friday?
First Friday take over the streets of Historic Downtown Bryan with street closures along Main Street and Bryan Avenue. The downtown area is located just minutes from Texas A&M University and only a few hours within each of Texas's major metro areas.

Park & Ride For FreeFree Shuttle To First Friday
Ride the free shuttle with pick-up and drop-off from Blinn College to Roy Kelly Parking Garage in Downtown Bryan! Pick-up at Blinn College will be in the parking lot in front of the Blinn College Bookstore with entrances along 29th Street & Joseph Drive.
The First Friday free shuttle runs continuously from 5:30PM - 10:00PM.

If you're looking to shop local artwork & hand crafted jewelry you won't want to miss walking through the multitude of Art 979 Art Loop vendors set up along Bryan Avenue near The Village Café, RX Pizza, and The Frame Gallery.
Often the artists at First Fridays will showcase live demonstrations of their craft - whether it be pottery, wood carving, or painting & sketching!
Groove To Live Music
Play your First Friday itinerary by ear as you walk along each street corner and past various shops hosting local musicians & bands! From piano-man karaoke to indie-folk beats - First Friday street performers always put on a great show. If you're able to drop some spare cash in their guitar case - it's always appreciated! During First Fridays our Downtown shops keep their doors open late and offer various specials and discounts! You might even find complimentary drinks & snacks while you shop inside the store.

Simply put, Bryan is a foodie city - and in downtown Bryan you don't have to walk very far for some really delicious food! If you're looking for burgers & fries we recommend: Margies Bar & Grill, 3rd on Main, Billy's Grille & Bar, and Proudest Monkey. For tacos or tasty Tex-Mex cuisine be sure to check out Taco Crave, Papa Perez, Casa Rodriguez, or Cilantro Mexican Grill. For a more upscale dining experience make reservations at Ronin Farm & Restaurant or Clementine's Kitchen. It’s all on the table in Bryan. All you have to do is bring your appetite!
With all this talk of food, we can't forget about drinks! From craft cocktails to locally-made beer & mead - there's a growing bar scene in downtown.
