Hometown Sessions with Brock Dewald: featuring Pat Byrne at the Kimbell
- Admission: $35
Acclaimed Irish singer-songwriter Pat Byrne will join Bryan native Brock DeWald on Sunday, September 13, for an intimate evening of songs, stories and conversation at The Kimbell Cultural Event Center in Historic Downtown Bryan.
This Sunday, that guest is Pat Byrne, an Irish-born singer-songwriter who first gained national attention by winning the inaugural season of The Voice of Ireland. Byrne later relocated to Austin and has developed a sound that bridges the storytelling traditions of his Irish roots with Texas Americana, folk and roots music. His album Into the Light was named among the Austin American-Statesman’s Top 10 albums of the year.
Rather than a traditional opening-act-and-headliner format, Hometown Sessions is designed to feel more like being invited into a conversation between songwriters. DeWald and Byrne will share music, talk about where the songs came from and give the audience a glimpse into the creative process behind the work.
