First Friday in Downtown Bryan
In October 2005, the very first First Friday featured local artists gathered by Greta Watkins (then owner of The Frame Gallery), wine and charcuterie, and a jazz quartet. These days the event draws thousands to see live performances, meet artists, shop from farmers' market vendors, and support Downtown Bryan businesses. Thanks to 2 decades of hard work and investment by Downtown Bryan business owners, the City of Bryan, and – since 2020 – Destination Bryan, this event has evolved into a cherished monthly tradition.
