Find out what makes Bryan, Texas "A Legend Reborn"
A Downtown Bryan Icon For Nearly A Century
The Queen Theatre
This historic theatre opened in 1939 as one of the finest movie houses in Texas. In fact, The Queen Theatre was the first air conditioned movie theatre west of the Mississippi River. Today, it's been reborn to live up to that standard again – and operations have returned to the hands of the original owners, the Schulman Family.

The Queen Theatre is Bryan's crown jewel – an iconic landmark that has stood over Main Street since 1939. It's also a perfect example of Historic Downtown Bryan's resilience and rebirth into the cultural hub of Bryan & College Station. The Schulman family operated The Queen until the 1970's when the economic decline faced by downtowns across the country forced The Queen, along with most other Downtown Bryan businesses to close their doors. After decades of disuse and neglect, the citizens of Bryan rallied together to restore The Queen to her former glory. From 2018 to early 2020, The Queen operated as an event venue and single-screen film house showing classic movies. The Queen's doors were forced to close once again during the COVID-19 pandemic, and ownership of the building was transferred to the City of Bryan in 2021.
Today, management of The Queen Theatre has returned to the Schulman Family via their modern day entertainment company, EPMC Group. The theatre has been fully renovated to offer first-run movies, luxury amenities, delicious food, and even houses a bar on the 3rd and 4th floors.
The Queen Theatre is located at 110 South Main Street in Downtown Bryan, Texas. View upcoming movies & purchase tickets at queenbryantx.com
