101 South Texas Avenue
The 101 is a new ice-house style bar, located in a fully renovated former service station in Historic Downtown Bryan. They’ve got an extensive beer list, great mixed drinks, and offer paninis & sandwiches. It’s a great space in any weather, but it’s perfect on a nice evening when they roll the doors up for an open-air experience!
911 North Bryan Avenue
One might say this taqueria is definitely more of the “hole-in-the-wall” variety, but trust us when we say you’ve got to make a stop here. Their tortas, tacos al pastor, and fajita tacos are some of the best & most authentic you’ll find in Bryan-College Station.
Know Before You Go: The restaurant is really just one big patio. You’ll walk through a gate, and order from a window on the side of the building. There’s no menu posted, so you just have to know what to get. That’s what we’re here for! Your options are tortas, tacos, or quesadillas. We recommend the tacos al pastor, beef or chicken fajita tacos, or the chicken quesadilla. You also absolutely cannot go wrong with a torta filled with whichever meat you prefer.
No need to be intimidated if you’re not fluent in Spanish – this writer isn’t, and I love this place! Just be polite, and if all else fails… order a quesadilla and a coke!
