The Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History
The Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History features a rich variety of exhibits exploring the natural world and the history and culture of the Brazos Valley. Alongside these displays, visitors can enjoy special exhibits, which include traveling exhibits or in-house exclusive exhibits on a diverse range of topics.

The Brazos Valley African American Museum
Built on the site of one of the original Black schools in Bryan, Texas, The Brazos Valley African American Museum promotes the history of African American citizens in the Brazos Valley. Step inside to view artifacts, listen to oral histories and media reports, and see other historical items.

The Carnegie History Center
The oldest operating Carnegie Library in Texas (one of the three oldest libraries in the state) is the perfect place to hide out inside. It's a historical library and genealogical research center that's open to the public and has many different resources about Bryan and its adjoining counties. Whether or not you're in the middle of a research project, there's plenty of places to sit, historical books to see, and events throughout the year.

The Queen Theatre
The Queen is a revitalized boutique theatre that shows classic films and current Hollywood Blockbusters. It first opened in 1939 as one of the finest movie houses in Texas (and was the first air-conditioned movie theatre west of the Mississippi).
The Queen Theatre is owned by the family who initially opened it in the early 1900s, and offers comfortable reclining chairs and offers food + drink service during movies.

Historic Coffee Shops
Historic Downtown Bryan has several coffee shops where you can unwind inside while encountering history first-hand. Polite Coffee Co. is located in one of the oldest homes in Bryan, Texas, which was formerly the home of Dr. Kyle (namesake of Kyle Field). It was originally built in 1898 by George Samuel Parker of Parker Lumber Company, which was headquartered out of what is now Tavo Coffee Co.
Head down the street to Tavo for even more Bryan, Texas history. They still have G.S. Parker's safe and the old-school teller counter where employees would make transactions. Fun fact: Parker Lumber Co. was responsible for the construction of many of Bryan's historic homes.
Harvest Coffee Co. is also housed in a unique historic building along Main Street that used to be a bank in the 1840s (see the photo below).

DeGallery Art Studio & Gallery
Whether you're a creative or an art admirer, you're sure to enjoy DeGallery. This locally-run gallery and art studio offers art classes for adults and kids throughout the year along with special workshops.
The gallery space is also open to the public and features original and unique art from around the world. The exhibits rotate, so there's always something new to see!

This is a great way to have fun even if it's hot or raining outside! You can easily spend a day thrifting or antiquing at eclectic stores like Rabbit Hole Attic Antiques, Sweet Repeat Resale, or Corner of Time Antiques Mall. Curious Collections Vinyl Records
Spend time browsing through thousands of new and vintage records at Curious Collections, where you can also find CDs, cassettes, and turntables. They often have listening parties, too!
This is the largest independent record store in Bryan-College Station, opened in 2016 by a local Texas A&M graduate who had a massive record collection inheritance and a passion for vinyl.

Younger adventurers will love exploring these indoor playgrounds around town. Smarty Sprouts is best for little ones, complete with a 3-story play structure, ball pit, and areas to create with blocks and legos.
